I am a meteorologist and climate researcher based in Kathmandu, Nepal. My work focuses on bridging the gap between atmospheric science and ground-level reality in the Hindu Kush Himalaya — translating complex climate datasets into actionable insights for water resource management and disaster resilience.

Maintains and organises climate and hydrological databases. Active across five projects spanning the Hindu Kush Himalaya:

CLASSIK — Climate data analysis training in Kathmandu & Surkhet using ERA5, APHRODITE, WFDE5
South Asia–China Precipitation — Trend analysis and online training for international collaborators
Solar Lift Irrigation — Field-based FGD/KII surveys in Dhading and Ramechhap
SWOT River Discharge — ADCP measurement of 7 major rivers; Python-based depth analysis
ICE 2 Water — Glacial lake monitoring (1992–2024) via Google Earth Engine; publicly exhibited

Kathmandu, Nepal

Participated in Nepal's flagship international climate dialogue — "Climate Change, Mountains, and the Future of Humanity." Engaged with global climate researchers, policymakers, and UN representatives at this multi-stakeholder forum on mountain ecosystems and climate action.
